Contractor Bios
Kyle Craig
Kyle has been working in the construction industry since he was twelve years old. He started out helping his dad in the summers. He started out just cleaning up jobsites and handing his dad tools as he needed them. As the summers went along, slowly he progressed into more and more extensive roles on the jobsite.
In 2004 he graduated from Tecumseh high school as a valedictorian. After graduation Kyle accepted a scholarship to play basketball on the JV squad for Oklahoma Baptist University. While attending OBU Kyle went to school full time, carrying as many as eighteen hours a semester while still working with his dad in the construction field. While attending OBU, Kyle served as president of Delta Mu Delta: The International Honor Society in Business administration. As a senior Kyle was honored with the Senior Achievement Award as the top student in the school of business’s management program. Kyle graduated Magna Cum Laude from OBU in May of 2008, having earned his BBA in management.
After Graduation, Kyle stepped into the role of Vice-President of Craig Contractors L.L.C. where he is still working. In June of 2009 Kyle married his wife Lauren and the couple lives in the south rock creek area. Outside of work Kyle serves as an instructor with the Tecumseh A.B.K.A. karate class, and he has served as an assistant high school boys basketball coach at Liberty Academy, where he helped lead them to the school’s first boy’s state championship.
Gary Craig
Gary has been working in the construction industry since he was nineteen years old. He started out working his way through college and ended up making construction his career. He started out as a carpenter for a local company and has worked in all aspects of the construction industry.
In 1972 Gary graduated from Tecumseh high school, he began his college career at Seminole Junior College where he graduated with his Associates degree in 1974. After earning his associates degree he went on to Oklahoma State University where he earned his Bachelors degree in wildlife management.
Gary is the President of Craig Contractors L.L.C. He began his working career the same time he started school at OSU. In 1974 he began working as a carpenter for Jordan Construction. In 1979 he left Jordan Construction and began working in the Union as a carpenter. While in the Union, he learned all phases of commercial construction and was promoted to a superintendent. As a superintendent he ran several multimillion dollar projects in the Shawnee and Oklahoma City area. In 1983 he left the Union and went back to work for Jordan Construction, this time as a superintendent, where he worked until 1989. In 1989 he left Jordan Construction to start his own business. As a self employed contractor Gary has completed hundreds of jobs in the Tecumseh and Shawnee area.
